Before you use the certificate printing feature, we recommend performing some test printing and taking a few precautions to protect your printer and certificates.
Warning: If you have a laser printer, you may not be able to use thermographed (raised print) certificates. The heat necessary to complete the printing will char the thermographed printing, ruining the certificate. Use flat-printed certificates ONLY.
Note: If you have an ink-jet printer, you should be able to use the thermographed certificates. We recommend you test the certificates that you intend to use with your printer. Certain combinations of papers and printers will cause the ink to blot or not dry properly.
We urge you to extensively test your printer with different certificates. Also, CONSULT YOUR PRINTER'S MANUAL for recommended types and maximum weights of papers that can be used with your model of printer.
We recommend that you clean the print heads (Ink Jet Printer) or the paper path (Laser Printer) prior to printing certificates.
Finally, print a few certificates to blank paper to check the alignment. If fields need to be adjusted, see Adjusting Neff Certificates in the next section.
