ContractsSchedule Star Now! is equipped to generate and track contracts for both officials (Officials Contracts) and games (Opponent Contract). It will generate completed forms for your state and will automatically email the contract if an email address is available. The contract will also print to your screen with Adobe's Acrobat Reader, allowing you to print a paper copy. Before using Schedule Star Now! to print and track contracts, it is important to review the entire contract process for sporting events. With conventional paper contracts, you would traditionally generate multiple copies of each contract. You would mail two of these copies to the official or opponent, then file a third copy in a follow-up file. The official or opponent would endorse one of their copies and return it to you. Upon receiving the endorsed copy, you would locate your matching copy in your follow-up file, throw away your copy, and file the endorsed copy. Schedule Star Now! eliminates the need to print, file, and replace a follow-up copy. Whenever you schedule an event or an official, Schedule Star Now! checks to see if you have an email address for the opponent or official. If you do, it sends them a link so they can print the contract. The contract will also print to your screen with Adobe's Acrobat Reader. If you need to mail the contract or if you want a paper copy, you will need to print it at that time. To print it, click on File in your browser window, then Print. The contract is stored in its Pending Contracts list. Schedule Star Now! automatically assigns the contract a unique identification number and stores this number, along with details such as the date you initiated or printed the contract. Schedule Star Now! keeps its own electronic copy of every contract. When you receive the endorsed copy back from the official or opponent, just open the Pending Contracts list and click the Confirm button to confirm. You can simply file the contracts numerically. Note: Schedule Star relies on Adobe's Acrobat Reader to handle the actual printing. As soon as Schedule Star hands contract data to Acrobat Reader for printing, it enters the contracts as Pending and considers the printing process complete. Acrobat Reader has no way of telling Schedule Star whether or not the printing operation was successful. This means if your Acrobat Reader printer should happen to fail to open when you attempted to print, Schedule Star still lists the contracts as pending. If this happens, use the Void button to remove the contracts from tracking and start again. | |||||
