Labels

You can print mailing labels from any directory by clicking the Labels button in the lower right hand corner of each directory screen.

A wide variety of label stock is commercially available. The table below lists the sizes and types of labels currently supported.

Note that numbers beginning with a "5" are generally laser printer labels, and numbers beginning with an "8" are generally inkjet printer labels. Though the numbers listed above are Avery numbers, labels are available from a number of different manufacturers and should have an Avery cross-reference number.

Setup allows you to exactly line up the labels for your printer. A lower number in the Start Point will move the printing up on the labels; a higher number will move the printing down. The Label Interval determines how far apart each label will print. The Left Margin determines the left margin for the page of labels. We suggest that you print a page on a plain piece of paper and compare it to your labels.

If labels have already been printed on or peeled from the sheet(s) you are using, you can skip them by entering a number in the Skip Labels box. Click in the box and type a number, or use the up and down arrows to enter the number to skip. Labels are skipped from left to right and from top to bottom.

Note: We recommend that you consult the manual that came with your printer regarding repeatedly using a single sheet of labels. There is usually a limit to the number of times you can do this on laser printers.

You need to specify exactly which individual labels to include. All the records in the directory appear in the Choices list on the left. Labels will be printed for all the records in the Selected list. Use the single arrow button to move individual records to the Selected list, or use the double arrow button to move them all at once.

To print mailing labels for students, click the Labels button in the Student Directory. This opens the Print Labels screen.

Use the first pull-down to select the type of labels. Use the second pull-down to choose which address to print - the student, contact 1, or contact 2. Clicking the checkbox underneath "Address" adds the prefix "To the Parents of:" to every label.

Printing labels in the Opponents, Vendors, Officials, Transport, and Coaches directories works differently from the students.

Clicking the Labels button in any of these directories opens a different Print Labels screen.

Like the Print Labels screen for students, use the pull-down list to choose a label type and enter the number of labels to skip if needed.
